Field goals are not easy. Attempts over 50 yards (half the field, not counting end zones) are seldom performed, and anything over 60 yards is crazy. Nevertheless, the record in the NFL is 64 yards, set by Matt Prater. In college football, it's actually better, 69 yards by Ove Johansson.

Kicking the 67-yard field goal depicted in the painting is like kicking into another planet. One passes through deserts, mountains and lakes, and finally outer space to even have a chance at succeeding. Then, there's the end zone and a frustratingly small window in between the goalposts.

I predicted a Patriots 38-33 Saints Super Bowl 53 before the start of the 2018 season, so those are the teams I have depicted. As it turns out, the Patriots did win, while the Saints were cheated by an infamous wrong call against the Rams in the NFC Championship Game. One wonders whether that Super Bowl, the lowest-scoring ever, would've been so boring had the Saints played!
