Music is a fundamental essence of life, a transcendent beauty. It begs to be depicted artistically, as listening to a piece results in visualization. I imagine three composers—Beethoven, Debussy, and Holst—with their signature compositions: the "Moonlight Sonata", "Clair de Lune", and "Jupiter" of "The Planets". Each represents a different mood.
Beethoven is shown in his gloomy state, poised with the canvas of his famous composition emanating from his coat. The moon shines amidst a fiery red sky, matched by the darkness of the night. The yellow background mirrors the moon's color.
Debussy appears, shrouded in mist, true to the style of his Impressionist compositions. This moon lights up the entire landscape, the mountains framing a massive sea. The blue background is an extension of the sea and sky.
Holst has a heart of Jupiter, a rotating performance, and as it contains the Big Red Spot, so must the background be mahogany.
The squeezed acrylic paint, with a piano barcode and all colors swirling into the moon, symbolizes the fusion of music and art. A lesser spiral is created on the top right, centered by Mars, influenced by Holst's presence as all its spiraling black keys are some shade of red.
Small piano keyboards and notes interspersed within the canvas complete the art of music.
