Swing 2022 → 2024 · NH State House
How did the vote move from 2022 to 2024? We shade each district by the change in the Republican share of the two-party (R+D) vote, in percentage points (all candidates of each party summed). Where control changed between Republican majority, tie and Democratic majority, the district gets a black outline and a dark inner ring in the colour of the party that gained. Each figure has four panels. Left of the brown line are two maps: the non-floterial districts, which cover every town and ward exactly once, and the floterial districts layered over them (their voters elect representatives in both, so a non-floterial district's card also shows its floterial race). Right of the line we redraw the same districts as circles, one per district, sized by seats and placed to keep their rough position, north up. All ten county figures share one scale, so a mile or a seat looks the same size in every county; the statewide figure is drawn smaller. Hover over a district on a map or over its circle: we outline both in black and show the district's card right under the figure. Click to pin the card there (click again to unpin).

Notes and Sources
Results: NH Secretary of State, 2022 and 2024 general elections, certified figures. Swing = Republican share of the R+D vote in 2024 minus the same share in 2022. A district is not comparable if either party fielded no candidate in either year. Uneven slates (the parties fielded different numbers of candidates in one of the years) are fine to compare but worth keeping in mind.
Cards show the 2024 result with the 2022 result, swing and flip.
Boundaries: US Census Bureau 2022 cartographic boundary files (1:500k), state legislative districts and county subdivisions (towns); dashed lines separate towns inside the same district (wards within a city are not drawn); each floterial is drawn as the union of the districts it covers.
Circle layout: district centres warped toward equal-population spacing while keeping their order, then relaxed so circles do not overlap; circle area is proportional to seats, on one scale for non-floterial and floterial districts. Statewide circle labels use county codes: Be Belknap, Ca Carroll, Ch Cheshire, Co Coos, Gr Grafton, Hi Hillsborough, Me Merrimack, Ro Rockingham, St Strafford, Su Sullivan. County figures reuse the statewide circle positions, all drawn at one common scale (larger than the statewide one).
