2022 NH Senate Snake Chart
Here we've lined up every Senate seat from the 2022 general election in a single winding band, running from the most Republican district (top left) to the most Democratic (the far end). Each district is one block, and its length along the band is proportional to its number of seats. Where the band bends round at the end of a row, the districts on the bend simply curve with it.
Seats won: R 14 · D 10 (of 24)
How to read it
Colour is the district's vote margin: Republican share minus Democratic share of the R+D vote, capped at 40 points. Uncontested districts count as ±100 and sit at the two ends.
District margin (R − D share of the R+D vote)
Labels are Senate district numbers.
Order is by vote margin, so a split multi-seat district or an upset can sit on the "wrong" side of the R | D cutoff; the cutoff marks where Republicans' 14 seats would end if seats followed vote margin exactly.
